As somebody who has had cancer and survived it I was curious to know why I got cancer at such a young age. I remember when I was diagnosed I asked the consultant what had caused my cancer and he couldn’t give me an answer. Being a survivor of cancer made me want to look into why it was I got ill and if there was anything I could do to help prevent it coming back.
I was diagnosed at the age of 17, I had a healthy upbringing but when I got to about 15 I didn’t take care of my self as much. I would socially drink and even sometimes smoke and my diet was poor filled with little nutrition and plenty of junk food. Plus I was quite ungrateful for the things I was lucky enough to have at the time including my health.
The fact is the amount of people who are getting cancer is increasing as the years go on, so we need to look at our surroundings to see what things could be the cause of this. My opinion is that it has a lot to do with us living such an unbalanced life the environment we live in and the changing factors that have an effect on our life over time. Increased pollution, bad diet, fitness, relationships, mindsets and past traumas are the main things that come to mind.
We are all unique which means our bodies deal with different things in different ways. We can all help our bodies though by changing our life styles to being more healthy in order to help prevent illness because none of us know what our future may hold.
