"When I got diagnosed with a rare stage 3 cancer at the age of 17 I found it hard to keep a check on everything. Every hospital appointment was filled with the same questions and because I had difficulty with my speech due to the side effects of my treatment it was hard for others to understand me. Luckily my mum was on hand alot but when she wasn't it was important that I had certain information noted so my needs could be met.
